ENERGY- EFFICIENT HEATING FOR CHURCHES

For example,  Saint Jack’s church in Straszyn which has 300 sitting places paid 24 000 PLN (around 5 800 Euro) during the heating season using traditional ways to warm up the church. During the next heating season using our heating system, they paid only 1 200 PLN (less than 300 Euro) which made it possible to save up to 95 % compared to the last heating season.

Many conventional methods use hot air to warm up the church. The first problem with this kind of system is the fact that the hot air rises very fast. Secondly, by the rise of hot air causes also the rise of dust and moisture. The moisture accumulates in the coldest points of the building, which starts a pollution process in the church:

TRADITIONAL WAYS OF RISING THE TEMPERATURE IN A CHURCH

Churches are not suitable to be warmed up. In most cases, it would be very difficult to warm up a whole church. First and foremost, churches are often used only a few hours per week. Most churches cool down completely after a few hours. The cold walls of the church are drawing energy from the people inside the church. People who are inside of the building are not able to produce enough thermal energy because of the lack of movement. The thermal balance is being perturbed and the person starts to freezing which can result in a cold.
